EOS: What is Your Company’s Reason for Being? Vision.

EOS-Model-032322

Do you have a crystal-clear vision of your company’s reason for being? Is it as clear today as it was back when you started? Do your people understand it as well as you do? As a refresher, to have a clear vision, you must know who and what your company is, who you serve, where you’re going, and how you’ll get there.

If you lead your business using the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System), you know that Vision is the one of EOS Worldwide's Six Key Components™ required to build a thriving business. It's purpose is to get you, your management team if you have one, and all of your employees aligned, so that you all are moving in the same direction...towards your established priority goals. Picture this, every member of your team knowing their role, and actively working in concert to reach those goals. Sounds pretty amazing, right?

One way you and your company become clear about your vision is using a tool that EOS Worldwide has developed called the Vision/Traction Organizer (V/TO). The V/TO aligns your leadership team around the answers to eight essential questions about your business, getting the vision out of your head and down on paper.

Once you have tackled this important work, from there, you'll be able to create a10-year vision and put it in writing. Include a solid, yet simple definition of your niche. Then break it down to a written 3-year vision, and finally a 1-year plan complete with a financial budget.

What's next? You share your long and short-term vision with everyone in your organization. This will create and sustain a single voice and a single culture.

All key decisions you make for your business from this point on should be based on your long-term vision, short-term plan, and budget. Keeping things simple and focusing on these core tools will relieve a lot of the day-to-day stress you may be experiencing now when conducting business.

Want to assess the strength of your business? EOS Worldwide has a quick online questionnaire tool - Organizational Checkup - on their website to help you get started. Check it out!

At AIOA, we understand the importance of having a clear vision.

Heide Olson, AIOA CEO and founder, used to having her hands in everything as she worked to get her unique business proposition out to small businesses and nonprofits. “Before EOS, I’d say my vision was not clear to my team.” Now Heide recognizes the value of making that vision clearer to all roles within the company. A peek at AIOA’s award winning history shows the impact this has had on company success.
